SEELYVILLE - William (Dave) David Tanner, 60, of Seelyville, passed away on November 20, 2021. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was born on November 15, 1961, in Seelyville, and was the son of the late William F Tanner and Mary (Rogers) Tanner. He graduated in 1980 from Staunton High School, where he excelled in track and field and basketball.
He worked for City Plumbing for several years before working and retiring from Rose-Hulman. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, his love of coffee, sports, watching old westerns, and absolutely anything and everything regarding his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debra (Tanner) Hicks, and two brothers-in-law David James and Ron Hicks.
Dave is survived by his children Breanna (Eric) Reberger, Ethan Tanner, and Dabryn Tanner; his grandchildren, Jaxton Langley, Reagan and Weston Reberger, and Arrow Tanner; sisters; Marilyn James, Elizabeth (Roy) Mix, Lisa (Gary) Backfish, and Vickie Knust; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday November 27, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
