Elizabeth Bevels Hogan, 80, of Athens, AL, died May 27, 1987, at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Funeral services were held May 30 at 1 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Downs and Rev. Ray Duvall officiating. Burial was in the Hasting Cemetery with Taylor Funeral Home in charge.
A native of Giles County, TN, Mrs. Hogan was a resident of this area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Bevels and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ira Hogan of Athens; two sons, Edward Hogan and A. D. Hogan, both of Athens; two daughters, Josephine Jackson and Margie Wilson, both of Athens; one sister, Icy Mitchell of Pulaski, TN; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
