Charles C. Andis, 77, of New Memphis, Ill., formerly of East St. Louis, died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville.
Surviving are his wife Esther, nee Dolson Andis; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Batley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. John Cala of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Golda Grosse of Calera, Ala., and Mrs. Conrad Wuerz of Collinsville; one brother, Lloyd Andis of Cahokia; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Andis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mascoutah. He was a guard at Alcoa Aluminum in East St. Louis for 23 years.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday from the Kurras Chapel to Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville for burial.
