He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on April 7, 2022.
He served our country honorably in the Army.
James loved the outdoors, being out on the boat, fishing, building crabs cages, and he also loved cooking for his family, as well as going out to eat. Most of all James loved spending time playing with his grandchildren and making memories with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara J. Price of Lake Arthur, LA; his son, Marlin James Price (Cheryl) of Lake Arthur, LA; his daughters, Cathleen Daniel of Lake Arthur, LA, Nancy Hunt (Bryan) of Lafayette, LA, Peggy Vincent of Lake Arthur, LA; ten grandchildren, Charlie, Keagon, Dana, Mandi, Chris, Nicholas, Tiffaney, Katie, Daniel, Scott, Glia, Rachael, Kristen, Kimberly; fifteen great grandchildren; his brother, Franklin (Norma) Price; his sister-in-law, Elma Price; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, parents, Johnny & Loni Price; four brothers, Warren, Alvin, Edwin, & Johnnie Price, Jr.; his sisters, Elva Price, & Lana Wilhite.
Funeral Services for James Lee Price, 86 of Lake Arthur, LA will be held at First Baptist Church in Lake Arthur, LA on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jarred Thomas officiating.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA beginning on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 9:00 AM continuing until 11:30 AM. Visitation will then resume at First Baptist Church at 12:00 PM until the time of his Service at 2:00 PM.
