Obituary For Patricia Ann Moore
Patricia Ann (McKinney) Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in Fremont, California, on February 11, 2022. She was born on November 4, 1933, in Corinth, Mississippi, to Archie and Bertha (Mathis) McKinney who adored their only child.

Patricia was raised in the southern states of Mississippi, Maryland, and Tennessee. As a teen, she had the unique distinction of attending high school with Elvis Presley and the yearbook to prove it. Her parents were a bit skeptical of their only child meeting the love of her life, a sailor nine years her senior who made her laugh, loved to dance, and was the life of the party. She wed "Ed", Cecil Edward Moore, Jr., on Veterans Day, November 11, 1955, and was whisked across the country during his years in the Navy. Like many military wives, Patricia's three children were born in three different states sometimes without the support of family close by. Pat and Ed settled into their new family tract home in Fremont in 1963, where they enjoyed the American Dream with neighbors who became family. While raising her children, Patricia had several jobs over the years including an accounting position for the Fremont Unified School District and later Montgomery Ward where she enjoyed gift wrapping during the holidays.

Pat, "bless her heart", possessed that renowned gracious southern hospitality and sweet disposition. Always quick to invite you in and ask if she could get you anything - and would. She loved her family and extended neighborhood family enjoying frequent block parties, lively poker games, bowling, and other
activities. Pat had a green thumb, loved her roses, and time tending her garden. Devoted wife "Patsy", "Mom", "Grams" and great grandmother, she cared for others before herself at every turn - her parents, her children, new grandbabies, friends, furry companions, and, of course, the love of her life.

Patricia lives on in the hearts of her children Steven E. Moore (Patricia) of Saratoga, Timothy "Tim" L. Moore (Liz) of Newark, and Kara T. Gutierrez (Anthony) of Sonora; grandchildren Matt (Kasie), Meagan, Joey (Kayla), Amy, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Treydan, Matty, Jamasyn, Kinsley, Kaylie, and Kasyn. Pat joins her husband, Ed, cherished granddaughter, Melissa, and her loving parents who predeceased her.

The Moore Family thanks those who helped care for Pat during her final years. We are especially grateful for the compassionate staff of Aegis and Cogir Fremont as well as Vitas during these unprecedented, isolating pandemic years.

Services will be held Monday, February 28, at 2:00 pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses and Livestream will be available. Inurnment will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
