John Allen Parker, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Archbold Medical Center. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Keith Wise officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home Chapel.

Allen was born on January 4, 1939 in Coolidge, GA to the late Ernest Rudelle Parker and Rose Marie Carlton Parker.

He married Linda Joyner Parker on April 21, 1973 in Coolidge, GA, who survives.

He worked as a Barber for over 65 years. He spent 44 of those years working at Allen's Barber Shop. Everyone thought of him as the best Barber around.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

Survivors include; his wife, Linda J. Parker of Thomasville, his children, Rodney Parker (Felicia), Robin Parker Wise (Keith), Donnie Hayes, Shane Parker (Melody), and Philip Parker, grandchildren, Justin Parker, Desiree Parker, Angel Parker, Savannah Parker, Erica Godfrey, Amber Robbins, Haille Hayes, Sean Parker, Emma Parker, Charlotte Parker, Ava Parker, Drew Parker, and Ella Parker, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings, Joyce Irick (John), and Talmadge Parker (Barbara), sister-in-law, Mary Lou Parker, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; two brothers, Rudelle Parker and Danny Parker.
