Thomas M. Moran, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 7, 2022 at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

Tom was the oldest child of Thomas and Emily. He grew up in Jersey City, with his younger brother Richie. Tom attended St. Michael's high school where he met the great love of his life, Marilyn. He went on to pursue a career in accounting at Colgate-Palmolive. Tom was always an avid sportsman pursuing basketball and, later, golf as passions throughout his life. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. Tom, "The Hawk", as he was affectionately known, never shied away from a good story, riddle or trivia question, spending hours entertaining his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Catherine's, North Middletown throughout his life. Tom truly enjoyed life and it showed in his charisma, laughter, and fun-loving spirit. He knew the value of time spent teaching someone a skill, cultivating a good debate, and making a thorough "to-do" list. Tom loved the dance floor and the center stage, but always championed his family and was our biggest fan.

Tom was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; his son, Kevin, and his grandsons, Bryan & Mark.

He is survived by his brother and sister in-law, Richard & Joan Moran; his children Tommy & Kathy, Scotty & Ronnie, Mary Ellen, Jimmy & Sue, Peggy & Paul, Deanie, Kathy & Webster, Chris & Kelly, Bobby& Javier, and Michael; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 4-8 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown. A funeral Liturgy will be offered on Monday, April 11 at 9:30 am at St. Catherine's R.C. Church 110 Bray Ave., Middletown. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery in Leonardo.
