Janet Elaine Brown, nee Gulledge, 68 of Greenville, IL formerly of Cahokia, IL, born October 9, 1953 in Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at St. John's Prairie Heart Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Janet worked at Merrill Lynch in Clayton, MO. She enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Gulledge; stepfather, Charles Meyer; son, Jeffrey Brown; along with several aunts, uncle and cousins.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Brown; son, James (Carolyn) Brown of Cottleville, MO; mother, Gerry Meyer of Cahokia, IL; brother, Danny (Bridget) Gulledge of New Market, AL; sister Linda (Wayne) Ploesser of Hillsboro, MO; four grandchildren, Nolen, Tyler, Chase and Jordan. She was also a dear sister-n-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL.
Funeral Service on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Don Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Belleville, IL.
