He graduated from East Bank High School in 1967. He then proudly served his country as a United States Marine and fought in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he worked as an underground Coal Miner/Electrician for Carbon Fuel Coal Company and spent many years in the Coal Mines before retiring. Earl was a Christian and a member of Newton Baptist Church for many years.
Three brothers precede him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; daughters, Melissa "Lisa" (Matt) Taylor and Angela Williams; grandchildren, Dustin (Cassie), Tyler, Colten (Brittney) and Cierra Williams; great-grandchildren, Allison, Easton, Bentley and Camden Williams; and one sister.
Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday April 9, 2022 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Ron Fisher and Darius Walker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
