Lorraine Gertrude Smith, 81, of Russellville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at her home. She was born on November 25, 1940 in Taos, Missouri, a daughter of the late Albert and Edna (Renterghem) DeBroeck. Lorraine was united in marriage to Marvin Smith on October 30, 1970 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City.

She was a 1959 graduate of Turlock High School in Turlock, California. Lorraine was a devoted housewife and a hard-working Mary Kay Sales Director for many years. Lorraine enjoyed working in her flower beds and took great pride in decorating her home and planning her flower beds. She loved spoiling people but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 51 years, Marvin; children, Steven Smith (Dave) Brooksville, Florida and Angel Embry (Dale) California, Missouri; son-in-law, Harvey Kremer; daughter-in-law, Kristi Shields; grandchildren, Amber Marshall, Brian Shields (Catlin), Austin Falter, Tyler Embry (Sam), Brandon Embry (Hannah), Katelyn Shields (Seth), Emma Kremer (Joe), Hanna Kremer (Landon), Lucia Embry, Ava Kremer and Tanner Embry; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Ayla; She was preceded in death by her children, Becky Kremer, Matt Smith and Greg Shields; siblings, Paul DeBroeck, Albert DeBroeck Jr., and Helen DeBroeck. And her first husband Larry Shields.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Jason Doke officiating. Interment will follow at St. Martin Catholic New Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Capital Projects.
