Carlos "Charlie" Martinez, 45 years old of North Chicago, IL passed away Sunday morning of April 3, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1976 in Waukegan, IL, to Gonzalo and Maria Martinez. Charlie worked at Uline for 22 years. He leaves his two daughters Adriana and Emma Martinez, along with his three brothers Gonzalo (Ana) Martinez, Julio (Maricela) Martinez, and Marco (Isela) Martinez, and his one sister Nora Martinez. Charlie is preceded in death by his cousins Jesus Zuniga and Fernando Morales, along with his two aunts Soledad Mancera Martinez and Guadalupe Martinez, in addition to his grandparents Ambrosio Martinez, Carmen Alverez, Teodoro Aguado, and Elvira Huerta.
Charlie's life was filled with passion and love for his family and friends, He enjoyed spending quality time with his relatives and made everyone feel special. He always put family first. You could always catch Charlie watching sports with his friends and family, and stayed loyal to his sports teams..especially the Cubs! Charlie always had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He truly lived life to the fullest, staying positive, and making every situation entertaining, as he was seen as the life of the party. He will be missed and loved by all forever and always.
Visitation will be held from 3pm-8pm Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee, IL. We welcome you to join us in celebrating the life of Charlie by wearing your favorite Cubs shirt to the visitation. Mass Service will be held at 10am on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Most Blessed Trinity (Holy Family) Catholic Church, 450 Keller Ave, Waukegan, IL. Burial will follow after the service, at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
