Bennett, Sue Ellen Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2017. Sue was born February 15, 1950 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Edward and Bernice (Haveman) VandeStreek and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. She was a member of Northeastern Baptist Church and worked at Borgess Hospital for several years. She enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with her grand- daughters.

On August 6, 1971 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Jim Bennett, who survives. Also surviving are her sons, Jason Bennett, Nathan (Heather) Bennett, Bryan (Brea) Bennett; 3 grand-daughters, Olivia, Brittany, and Kalissa; sisters and brothers, Lorraine (Ron) VanderMeer, Stanley (Sharon) VandeStreek, Bradley VandeStreek, Harley (Penny) VandeStreek, Wesley (Barb) VandeStreek, Sandra VandeStreek; and many nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jane and Connie.

A memorial service to celebrate Sue's life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 4 at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 East G Ave. Friends may meet the family Saturday from 10:00-11:00 at the church. Private interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Northeastern Baptist Church. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
