Professional Baseball Player. From 1969 until 1981 he was an undrafted free agent for the New York Yankees (1969 to 1972), the Cleveland Indians (1973 to 1975) and the Texas Rangers (1976 to 1981). He made his MLB debut on May 17, 1969 with the Yankees, in which he hit an inside-the-park home run. When he retired in 1982 after 883 games he left with a .262 batting average, 69 home runs, and 391 RBIs. He attended New London High School in New London, Connecticut, where he was an outstanding football and baseball player. After retiring from baseball and surviving cancer he founded the Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer and he also went into real estate sales.
