Harold Kelley Henderson

Harold Henderson, 73, passed away April 5, 2022. He was born March 2, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to Otho Russell Henderson and Laura Kate Nichols.

He had two older brothers, Wilmer Russell (Rusty) and Eddie Milton. He graduated RL Paschal High School in 1967. From 1969-1970, Harold served our country honorably in the US Army to include service In Vietnam. While serving he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Air Medal. When Harold returned to Fort Worth, he began a long career as a journeyman carpenter.

Everyone who knew Harold, knew that he loved his family very much. As a junior member of the family he looked after his mother, father, and then later, his aunts. As a senior member of the family, he kept in contact with extended members of the family and was always happy to lend an ear or give advice.

He had a hearty laugh and a terrific sense of humor. He was a good friend to all who knew him. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. He enjoyed participating in church and cherished his many friends there.

Preceded in death by his parents, Otho Russell Henderson and Laura Kate Nichols and his brother, Wilmer Russell Henderson. He is survived by his children, his grand children, his brother, Eddie Milton Henderson and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Interment will be held April 27, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas...Forest Ridge Funeral Home.
