He is preceded in death by his father and mother Glenn and Ruth Snyder; grandparents William and Stella Franks.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca (Skidmore) Snyder; daughter Lorie Puckett; son Barry Snyder and wife Jill; and 4 grandchildren: Keelie Puckett, Cade Puckett, Sarah Snyder, and Sam Snyder. He also leaves behind a sister Judy Snyder McMahan (Carl).
He was a member of Thompson Springs Church and now a member of Waterville Baptist for many years. He worked at Peerless Factory after graduating from Bradley High School, then on to TNT plant in Chattanooga. Jackie then retired from Duracell after 21 years and continued work at the US Forest Service, serving as a Park Ranger. He loved fishing, camping, hiking, and attending mission trips. Jackie served in Brooklyn, NY for three years as a missionary. He also started the Truck Stop Ministry in Charleston at the Ponderosa Truck Stop for over 25 years.
His family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm on Saturday April 9, 2022 at Waterville Baptist Church with a celebration of life service at 3pm. He will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery in Decatur, TN.
