Brenda K. Jones, 68, of Elwood, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, March 28, 2022 following an extended illness. She was born on October 7, 1953 in Elwood, IN to Vernon and JoAnn (Rockhill) Brummet.
Brenda is a graduate of Alexandria High School (1972) and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Brenda worked as a Production Operator at the RCA plant in Marion for nearly 30 years. She was a member of IBEW Local 1160 in Marion and is a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Brenda will be remembered for the dedication that she had for her family. She worked hard to provide a stable life for her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy and she absolutely loved spending time with them. Brenda enjoyed long weekends in Brown County and traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. She spent her free time shopping, taking motorcycle rides and frequently took time to stop and smell the roses (her favorite flower).
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Jerry Jones; one daughter, Katreena (Danny) Shirey of Elwood; one son, Eric Sullivan of Dunkirk; two step-daughters, Brooke (Ray) Mullen of Noblesville and Jennifer (Brad) Plank of Marion; five grandchildren, Wyatt Faulstich, Taylor Faulstich, Shellby Sullivan, Curtis Sullivan and Cameron Mullen; and three great-grandchildren, Bentley Faulstich, Blake Faulstich, and Bella Faulstich. Many loving extended family members and very close friends also survive as does her fur-baby, Max.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private celebration of Brenda's life will be held at a later date.
