Miss Mary Chellie Clark, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Ozark, died Monday, March 22, 2021, in Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 91 years old. Funeral services for Miss Clark will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Miss Clark was born July 14, 1929 in Dale County, Alabama to the late James Ralph Clark Sr. and Mary Ruth Thweatt Clark. Following graduation from high school at Newton, Alabama, she attended Riley Business School and worked with the FBI for a short time. Later she worked with the ASCS farm program office in Ozark until her retirement. She lived in Ozark for almost 50 years where she was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church. Her strong work ethic and her love and devotion to her friends and family makes her dear to the hearts of many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ruth Clark. Survivors include one niece, Debbie Kuhn; two nephews, Daryl Lee Brogden and his wife, D.D. of Midland City and Robert Brogden of Huntsville; great nephews, Cory Brogden, Brent Brogden, Caleb Brogden and Adam Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2291 County Road 31, Newton, Alabama 36352.
