Rosalie "Susie" Verlene Walker (Taylor), age 75 of Neodesha, KS, went to be with our Lord on March 28, 2022 at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, KS.

Susie was born October 19, 1946 in the family farmhouse in Buffville Township, to Claude and Viola (Cather) Taylor. The fifth of eight children, Susie was raised with three brothers, and four sisters in Rural Neodesha. She graduated from Neodesha High School in 1964 and went on to earn a degree from Neosho County Community College.

On a hot summer day in the middle of July 1975, Susie married the love of her life, Michael Warren Walker in Miami, Oklahoma. Michael brought four children to their marriage, and born into this union were four more children, three of which left this earth to be with the Lord before they took their first breaths. Then, on July 29, 1980, Cheyenne Sioux was welcomed into this world.

Until Susie's marriage to Michael, she worked as a USDA grader for Swift in Parsons with her sisters where they all shared an apartment. After marrying Michael, Susie took great pride in being a homemaker – keeping a tidy home and raising their daughter while instilling a great deal of love and devotion to her family. Susie was passionate about caring for her loved ones, and cared for her father and husband until they passed. Her passion became her life's work, and Susie retired from home health services after 30 years of caring for numerous individuals. Throughout her career, the dedication to her patients was unwavering.

She enjoyed spending time and visiting with her neighbors and friends and Church Family. Susie never knew a stranger and loved people. She could start a conversation with anyone!

More than anything, Susie loved the time she got to share with her family – especially her grandsons, Walker and Westen Erbe. The boys shared a special bond with their Granny, and she will be dearly missed by them. On November 10th, 2018, Cheyenne married Donald Wade, and from that unity, Susie gained a granddaughter, Marriah Wade. She was blessed be to known as "Granny" or "Granny Sue" by a number of children, and welcomed them into her life with open arms and loved them as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Susie is survived by her children:
William Joseph Walker of California
Michael James Walker of Moran, KS
Linda Ann Sack and husband Steve of Neodesha, KS
Christina Ann Shelton of Parsons, KS
Cheyenne Sioux Wade and husband Donald of Cherryvale, KS

Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild due in June, as well.

Siblings:
Charles "Albert" Taylor of Independence, KS
Althea Boring of Neodesha, KS
Verna "Jan" Dannels and husband Ronnie of Altoona, KS

Life-long best Friend, Patsy Stipp and husband, Paul of Neodesha, KS

Sisters-In-Laws:
Marilyn Jakeway, Darinda Kane, Judith Wright, and Jana Ambler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Clarence "Rookie" Taylor, Ileta Mars, Larry Lynn Taylor, and Lola Taylor; her father and mother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jess Ambler.

Interment will take place in Weakley Cemetery.
