Minnie Morrell
Funeral services for Minnie Morrell were held in the L. D. S. hall Monday at two o'clock with Bishop Frank H. Brown conducting. The Relief Society chorus sang "One Fleeting Hour" and "I Shall Not Pass Again This Way," followed by a violin solo "A Perfect Day," by Ralph Ericksen and a vocal solo by Golden Welch of Cowley. H. C. Carlton offered the invocation, and the speakers were Isaac H. Tippetts, Dr. Thos. B. Croft and Frank H. Brown. The benediction by Frank Jones of Byron. Flower girls were three granddaughters and nine girls from Byron and Cowley. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
Minnie Brian was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Daniel G. Brian, and was born September 4, 1866 at Millcreek, Utah. She was married to William Elmer Morrell in 1882 in the St. George temple. They moved by wagon to the Big Horn basin in 1900.
She was active in the church for many years. She was a very practical nurse and cared for the sick, going at all hours of the day and night when she was needed.
She always spoke a good word for others, never finding fault with anyone. She was very independent, not wishing to be a burden to anyone.
She is survived by two brothers, four sisters and six children to mourn her loss. The sons and daughters are: Ernest of Sandy, Utah, Brian of Lovell, Eva McQueen of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Orvel Lynn of Lovell, Mrs. Wallace Baird of Lovell, and Ludean of Kane.
Nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
