Shirley A. Bennett, 85, of Delmar, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Born on April 25, 1936 in Harrington, DE, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis Outten and the late June Outten.
Professionally, Shirley served as a Bus Driver/Contractor with Wicomico County Schools for over 40 years. She also worked with for Perdue Farms for over 30 years. Shirley loved going to slots and being with family and she enjoyed bowling.
Shirley is survived by Daughter, Ruth Spence of Salisbury, MD; Three Granddaughters, Khristy Bennett of Delmar, MD, Brandy Griffin, Audrey Griffin; Two Grandsons, Tristin Griffin, Joshua Griffin; Great-grandson, Nicholas Wallace; and Great-granddaughter Jaina Griffin.
Shirley was preceded by Father, James Lewis Outten, Mother, June Outten, Husband, Robert Eugene Bennett, Son, David Griffin, Son, Dale Griffin, Brother, Robert, Charles and William Outten, Sister, Bonnie Jean White, First Husband, Norman Griffin.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2:00PM at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804 with a visitation one hour prior. Reverend Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will take place at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
