Barb graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1958. She did some modeling in her teenage years. Barb was an avid frog collector, amassing nearly 4,000 frogs. She also enjoyed making Christmas ornaments for all her church family, crocheting, and making towels for veterans. Barb attended First Church of God.
On May 24, 1958, she married Dennis C. "Denny" Spencer, in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 59 years of marriage before his death on January 2, 2017.
Barb is survived by: her sons, Steve Spencer of Buhler, Chris Spencer of Kansas City; granddaughter, Molly Spencer of Wichita; sister, Annie May Metzler of Hutchinson; brothers, Charles Bibbs of Hutchinson, Gene Bibbs and Jerry Bibbs, both of Beebe, AR; and several extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter-in-law, Debra Spencer; and sister, Cathie Weeks.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
