Linda Diann Istook Blocker was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas.
She and her twin sister Nancy Istook entertained the Metroplex as children, performing in song and dance in venues large and small, including Casa Mañana.
She graduated from Castleberry High School and Texas Wesleyan University, married Roger Blocker, and shared her joy for her savior Jesus, life and music as a school teacher across Texas and in China, as an Alto soloist and playing lead roles in school and church choirs and stage performances, and ultimately a creator of online education modules for companies like Radio Shack and AT&T.
Linda passed away in Granbury, Texas on April 6, 2020 following a five year struggle with cancer. She never lost her faith in Jesus or her joy, continuing to serve in the choir at First Christian Church in downtown Fort Worth and always showing love to family, neighbors and friends.
Linda is survived by two brothers, her youngest sister, her spouse Roger and four children, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandkids and other extended family.
She is a step ahead of them now singing in Heaven's Choir!
