Richard Howard Antoine Sr., 93, of Valley View Terrace, Belleville, formerly of Milroy, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2022.

He was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Clarks Summit, a son of the late Herbert W. and Eva A. (Miller) Antoine Sr.

On Feb. 2, 1953, he married Carrie M. (Grove) Antoine, who preceded him in death.

He was a 1946 graduate of Benton Vocational High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from Agway in 1991 and was a founding member of Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church. He and his wife often hosted missionary students for CEF summer programs. He was a living example of God's love, leading many to know the love of Christ. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and shuffleboard with friends and hunting with his father, siblings, and son. His grandchildren cherish memories of going on vacations, and singing hymns and other songs together in the car. "This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long." Now he is singing with Jesus.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Herbert Antoine Jr., Imogene Cucura, Lillian Perry, Alberta Antoine, Wanita Stanton and Glenda Major; five siblings-in-law, Janice, Shirley and Mildred Antoine, Peter Cucura and Lynn Edwards; and one son-in-law, Donald Hess. Richard leaves behind his four loving children, Richard (Linda) Antoine Jr., Danna (William Wellman) Antoine, Tammy Hess, and Tina (Randy) Wert; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, Shawna (Joel) Henry and children Elsbeth, Lilliana, Paxton and Ara, Richard (Erica) Antoine III, and children, Elena and Aaron, Randa (Eric) Leckrone and children Anthony, Laine, Ethen, and Jude, Beau William (Mary Beth) Antoine Wellman, and sons Emerson and Wade, Danielle (William) Hersh and children Otis and Kaia, Kacy (Matthew) Gray and daughters Laurel and Juliette, and Morgan Lee (Morgan Elizabeth Sugg) Antoine Wellman; four siblings, David, Donald, and Edward (Brenda) Antoine, and Frances Edwards and a brother-in-law, Thurman (Tracy Trayer) Grove.

A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, 99 Taylor Drive, Reedsville, followed by a funeral service, with Pastors Douglas Sabin and Luke Shinskie officiating. Anyone who would like to wear blue, in honor of Richard's favorite color, is welcome to do so. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery, Justus, Pa. There will be no graveside service.

Flowers will be furnished by the family.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church. Arrangements are under the care of Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
