She was born in Seattle to Albert and Lula (Shaner) Sommerfeld. She graduated from Queen Anne High School there in 1951.
On Sept. 16, 1957, she married John Brittner in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Brittner worked for Benik Corp. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Brittner of Allyn and Marc Brittner of Belfair; two brothers, Wayne Sommerfeld of Tonasket and Carl Sommerfeld of Ballard; and two grandchildren, Skyler and Wesley Brittner.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton, followed by a funeral service at noon, also at Miller-Woodlawn.
