Obituary
William "Bill" Edward Pearson, age 75, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family early Monday morning June 14, 2021. Bill was born on December 30, 1945 in Morgan County, Illinois to Cecil and Louise (nee Franklin) Pearson.

Bill lived. He had so many adventures he shared in the conversations he had with family and friends. He took pleasure in weaving tall tales as well as telling truths. He was always quick with a smile and loved to laugh.

He loved his family. His daughters and their families were his pride and joy. He was always an active presence in the lives of his girls. You would find him at every sporting event and momentous occasion. He was a coach and their biggest fan, which I am sure he told you if he had the chance. He was a proud grandfather and took great pleasure listening to stories about his grandchildren. The big and small things were always equally celebrated. He made everyone feel seen, heard and loved.

As a young man Bill served as a paratrooper in the Army. Later he worked for, and eventually retired from, Tidewater Regional Transit as the Trolley Superintendent.

Left to cherish Bill's memory are his sisters Celia Hopken, Debbie (Gary) Shanholtz and Darlene Pearson; his daughters Carrie (Bob) Agans and Tasha (Trina) Slater; four grandchildren Bobby, Drew (Laney), Stephanie and Joceline; and his loving partner, Sharon Culver, who shared the last dance of his life. Bill embraced her family as his own.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Don.

Bill will always be remembered as a loving partner, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He loved to play golf every chance he got and scored a "Hole in One" on two separate occasions! He would watch any televised sporting event and cheer at the live ones; especially those of his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading as well as solving crosswords and sudoku puzzles. He especially enjoyed traveling to visit loved ones.
