Mary Lou Thomason passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born in Soddy-Daisy, TN on March 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Virgil Dallas and Edith May (Renfro) Douglas. Mary was a drum majorette and graduated TPS in 1959. She worked at Great Lakes Molding, VFW 7956, Cub Foods, Harding's and Dollar Tree. Mary was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Otsego Moose Lodge, and enjoyed camping and fishing . On March 30, 1967, she married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Thomason Sr. They were married for 29 years, until his death in 1996.

Surviving Mary are her children, Mike (Betty Jo) Walden Sr., Gerald (Cheryl) Andrews, Richard Thomason, Jeffrey (Jill) Thomason, and Tara (Rich) Double; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Barb, Myra, Alma and Doris. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sister, Barbara Jean; and great grandson Ryder Timothy Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 411 E Centre Ave Portage, MI 49002. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Promedica Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Mary.
