Mrs. Janice E. Wooten, age 62 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare of Lafayette.

Mrs. Wooten was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 1, 1959, daughter of the late Jimmy Rogers and Mildred Black Kent. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Wooten.

Mrs. Wooten is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Melanie Wooten; sister, Patricia "Trish" Hart; 2 grandchildren, Trace Burkhalter and Cayla Burkhalter; one great grandchild, Ashlynn Burkhalter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Wooten will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Casey Bramlett and Rev. Tommy Pledger officiating.

Pallbearers will include Mark Burton, Jeff Coley, Jamie Coley, Trace Burkhalter, Brian Blackwell, Rusty Dooley and Casey Veatch. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Pruitt Healthcare and Pruitt Hospice.

There will be no formal visitation.

Those attending the graveside service for Mrs. Wooten are asked to assemble at the West Hill Cemetery at 11:45 A.M. Thursday.

The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to help the family offset funeral expenses.
