Mary Lou Gillaugh, age 90 of Xenia, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 22, 1932 in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of George and Bessie Chambliss.

Mary Lou retired from Buck's Drugs in Xenia. She loved the thrill of a good deal and frequented many flea markets and garage sales. She also loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for being a good cook, especially her chili, goulash and beans and dumplings. Mary Lou enjoyed watching soap operas, comedies and wheel of fortune.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Abling; second husband, Robert Gillaugh, son, Robert Charles Abling; daughter, Karen Sams; daughter, Paula Pemberton; step son, David Gillaugh; grandson, Jasen Brittingham and grandson, Terry Matthew Sams.

Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Becky Brittingham; step daughter, Rhonda (Keith) Christenson; step daughter, Robin (Mike) Hargett; grandchildren, Bobbie (Scott) Stephens, Jeff Houser, Mary (Ryan) Carlson, Amanda Campbell and Michael (Nicole) Abling and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Mary Lou's honor.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio.
