Dr Marshall Stone Ellis, age 72 passed away Monday January 11, 1999 of cancer at his home in Clarksdale, Ms. Burial Wednesday, January 13, 1999 in Oakridge Cemetery, Clarksdale.
He is survived by his wife Joanie, daughter, Jennie Ellis Black, 3 sons , Marshall Stone Ellis Jr, Wilson Ellis, Andy Ellis and two grandchildren.
Retired general practitioner after 30 years and former chief of staff at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Vestryman at St George's Episcopal Church. World War II aviation veteran. Graduate of Tulane University and University of Tennessee Medical School. Former member for Clarksdale Exchange Club.
Dr Ellis rode 20 miles in the St Jude bikeathon every year.
