Irma Waddell Bowers, 94, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born on Nov.2, 1924 in Greene County, Tn.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Waddell and Fannie Jane Rollins Waddell. She was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Hensley.

She is survived by a son, Ted Bowers, and a daughter, Janet Frazier, son-in-law, Jaye Frazier, all of Johnson City; two sisters, Earlene Cutshaw and Carolyn Seaton; one brother, Earl Waddell; and five nieces and five nephews, all of Greeneville, Tn.

She married and moved to Oakland, California, in the mid 40's and moved to Johnson City in the late forties and resided there since. She was the manager of Henry Johnson Elementary School Cafeteria in the late 50's to the mid 60's. She was an Avon representative in her neighborhood in the 70's and was a Red Cross volunteer at the JCMC in the early 80's. She was a Christian who loved the Lord.

The family will receive friends 12-2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

There will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
