Magdeline was born in 1832 in Germany. She married Christopher Brunhoeber in about 1855. They had 7 children. After Christopher passed away in 1881, Magdaline immigrated to America. On the passenger ship records Lena is listed as a 50 year of female, occupation mother. Her name was spelled Bruhnhober on the manifest. Last residence was listed as Betzendorf {Betzendorf is a municipality in the district of Lüneburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany}. The SS Suevia originated in Hanover with ports in Hamburg and Havre, France. She traveled with her sons Christopher and George both listed as farmers from Balzendorf {which is obviously a mis-transcription}. They arrived in the port of New York on October 27th 1884. Magdeline settled with her sons in Cass County, Nebraska. She passed away in 1901
