Jon K. Gardner, 79, of Greensburg, died, Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hosptital. He was born in Adamsburg on June 23, 1942 and was the son of the late Joseph A. and Elsie Linhart Gardner.

Jon was retired Comptroller for the Laurel Legal Service in Greensburg. He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #225, where he was a past secretary and treasurer. Also, he was a member of the Westmoreland Shrine #18 and Past Associate Grand Guardian of Job's Daughters.

In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Cottom Gardner in 1992 and his sister, Dayle Gardner. He is survived by his children, Jon W. Gardner and his wife Susan; Jennifer L. Reed and her husband William; grandchildren, Jon Christopher Gardner and his wife Alayna, Rebecca Susan Gardner and Emily Jane Reed; also, his dog, Hope.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N Main Street, Greensburg. Funeral services for Jon will be held on Friday at 10 am in the funeral home with Rev. Chris Whitehead officiating. Interment will be held in the Brush Creek Cemetery.

Members of Greensburg Lodge #225 will meet at the funeral on Thursday at 7:30 pm to conduct masonic services.
