DILLON - Marvin Jackson, Jr. or "Buddy" as he was affectionately known entered into eternal peace on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon. Buddy was born in Dillon County on March 12, 1947, the son of the late Marvin Lee Jackson and the late Janie Taylor Jackson.
Buddy was a sweet and innocent soul and although there were some things he couldn't do, there were many things he could do. He could smile especially when someone gave him something shiny or a dollar bill. He showed others what strength and perseverance looked like as he overcame challenges, but most of all, he showed others what love looked like. He will be forever missed, but he now resides with his Heavenly Father and is reunited with his parents once again.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was predeceased by two brothers, Lee Jackson and Jerry Lee Jackson.
He is survived by two brothers, Henry Jackson of Mullins and Donnie Jackson (Abigail) of Marion; and two sisters, Jeannette Jackson Rollins (Kenny) and Sarah Bellamy, both of Mullins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Mayers Cemetery in Mullins with Reverend Eric Caudill officiating.
