MCLEANSVILLE Brian Keith Davenport, 36, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 14, 2017, surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with brain cancer. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 17, at Mt. Pleasant UMC, 5120 Burlington Road, Greensboro. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. the service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Brian was a 1999 graduate of Eastern Guilford High School. He was a volunteer with the McLeansville Fire Department and employed by Spotlight Towing. Brian was fun loving and full of life. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Brian loved his family, his many friends, and the McLeansville community. Brian is survived by his loving parents Jerry and Pat, brother, Rodney (Amanda); nieces Macie, Kaydence, and Jesleigh and a nephew, Liam; uncles, Bill Smith (Shirley), Randy Smith, Michael Smith (Eileen) and aunts, Diane Harmon (Gary), Carolyn Rice (Jerry) and Brenda Teague (Sonny); cousins, Amber Rinaldi (Robert), Amy Davis, Emma and Molly Smith, Karen King and Eric Raines; friends, Josh and TJ White (their families) and his special furry friends: Danica, Spike and Butterscotch. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cone Health Cancer Center or the McLeansville Fire Department. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cancer Center for their excellent care and support, especially nurse Samantha Presnell, the McLeansville Fire Department and for the outpouring show of love, prayers, and support given to them.
