Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed her role as a mother of two children as well as a Nana to her three grandchildren. She loved flowers, the beach, shopping, and spending time with her family. She spent many hours volunteering at the schools while her kids were attending. She enjoyed attending Cowboy Baptist Church in Irvington, AL. Above all she was a loving wife, wonderful mother and a caring grandparent. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Randy Herring; one son, Randall Herring of Grand Bay, AL; one daughter Melissa (Brett) Bassham of Jonesboro, AR; three grandchildren, Connor Herring of Grand Bay, AL, Baleigh Bassham and Bentlee Bassham of Jonesboro, AR; her mother, Ruby Nicholson of Grand Bay, AL, two sisters Jerry Roe of Northwest Arkansas and Janice Willhite of Grand Bay, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cowboy Baptist Church at PO Box 606, Grand Bay, AL 36541.
The family will receive visitors from 11a.m.-1:00PM Friday, April 1, 2022, at Cowboy Baptist Church 11835 Argyle Road Irvington, Al 36544. The graveside services will follow at 2:00PM at Serene Memorial Gardens 12800 Highway 613 Moss Point, MS 39562.
