A funeral service for Linda Kaye Risinger, 76, of West Monroe, La., will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Canaan Baptist Church in Spearsville, La. with Bro. Tim Post and Bro. Nathan Battey officiating. Interment will follow in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Spearsville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Canaan Baptist Church in Spearsville, La. prior to the funeral service.



Linda Kaye Risinger was born September 24, 1945 and passed away March 27, 2022. Kaye was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved all sports, and in her younger years, she was an avid athlete. Kaye was a faithful member of First West Baptist Church in West Monroe where she was very active in all church functions. She dearly loved her chihuahua, "Brees", who she named after Drew Brees. She loved her mother with all her heart and she spoke to her on the phone every night. Kaye was loved by many and will be dearly missed.



Kaye was preceded in death by her father, Morrece "Pete" Smith.



Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Meada Post Smith; children, Todd Risinger (Vicky), Scott Risinger (Lesha), Jamie Risinger (Kelley), and John Risinger (Tricia); grandchildren, Savannah Battey (Nathan), Katie Holloway (Matt), Summer Hall (Brooks), Ethan Risinger, Beth Chandler (Buddy), Lexie Risinger, Logan Risinger, Cherie Wedgeworth, Joey Miller (Amanda), Kayla Risinger, Rebecca Daniels, Autumn Jackson, Blakley Porter, Addison Porter, Brock Risinger, and Max Risinger; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, James Smith (Susan), Bro. Connie Smith (Linda), and Kent Smith; along with several nieces and nephews.



Pallbearers will be Brock Risinger, Max Risinger, Ethan Risinger, Brooks Hall, Nathan Battey, and Matt Holloway.



Mrs. Kaye's boys would like to thank Ms. Paula Golden for all she has done for their mother.
