Born on February 19, 1933, in Clay, he was the son of the late Green E. and Onie K. (Pritt) Nichols. He was a retired truck driver.
Bill is survived by his wife, Frances G. Nichols; four daughters, Josephine Neal of Twenty Mile, Della Bird of Lizemores, Venice Nichols of Jodi and Billie Diane Nichols of Boomer; three sons, Billy R. Nichols of Alta, Bobby Nichols of Rich Creek, and Ronald Nichols of Lizemores; six stepchildren, Becky Jones, Brenda Kinser, Zelma Sullivan from Jodi WV, Lisa Nichols of Rich Creek, Rachel Short of Twenty Mile and Vanessa Johnson of Lockwood; 59 grandchildren and 97 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Pennington Smith Funeral Home in Gauley Bridge, WV, with Minister Joshua Putman, a viewing for the family and friends will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Holcomb – Nichols Cemetery on Holcomb Ridge Road in Adonijah.
