Donna Jean Miller, passed away peacefully in her home March 28, 2022.

Donna was born Nov. 6, 1947, to Roy James and Verna Mae (Bachmeyer) Harwood in Taylor.

She graduated from Taylor High school in 1966 and attended Sam Houston State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1969 and went on to join the Houston Police Department.

After 23 years of service with the Houston Police Department, she retired a sergeant with the homicide division.

Donna went to work for Safariland as a sales representative, then worked for SIG arms as a National Sales Representative for law enforcement and the military.

She is survived by her partner in life, Billy Mucha; her son, Brandon Miller; granddaughters, Lydia Anne Miller and Shelby Lynn Miller; and great-grandchildren, Catherine Lynn Johnson, and Oliver James Johnson; and many loving family members and friends.

There will be a celebration of life service Friday, April 8, at 1 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor.
