Eleanor Aline Morris passed away on March 29 while under the care of Hospice. Eleanor was born in Tyler, Tx. to Edward and Myra Potter. She earned a Bachelor degree from the University of Texas and became an Elementary School teacher. She marries her best friend and soulmate, Gerald on November 26, 1959. They were able to travel all around the world together. She missed him immensely since his passing in 2017. Her faith was one of the most important things to her. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she volunteered and sang in the choir. She was the most amazing mother. She was always available to help and give advice, even when it was hard to hear. Her hugs gave you the best feeling in the world. She would tell her daughter she loved her with a heart and a half. She loved all animals, especially cats. She often referred to herself as the "crazy cat lady". She considered her animal's family. She has many friends, all of whom she loved dearly. A special thank you to Joyce Hunt, Wanda Joyce, Katherine Nalbone, and cousin, Donna Kerr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gerald. She is survived by her son, Craig and wife, Leddie; her daughter, Pamela Ward; grandson, Trey Youngblood, and her animals, Hollybell, Bug, Butch, Lucy, Ava, and fat Winston. We all love you with a heart and a half! Life will never be the same without you. A private family graveside will take place on Tuesday morning, April 5, 2020, with a Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Tyler, with Rev. Pike Wisner officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
