James "Jim" Kenneth Reagen was born on Saturday; January 28, 1928 in Grinnell; Poweshiek County, Iowa. He was the son of: James Joseph and Jessie (Quire) Reagen. He was raised in Grinnell, Iowa and was a 1946 graduate of Grinnell High School. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Navy Seebees. After the War, he returned to Grinnell and later moved to Colorado Springs; El Paso County, Colorado and was employed at Arthur Murray Dance Studios for several years. He moved back to Grinnell, Iowa in 1962. On Thursday; November 15, 1962, he was married to Donna J. Adair in Grinnell, Iowa. He was employed at the Grinnell Elks Lodge and later the Iowa State Liquor Commission. He retired in 1979. He was a life-long member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed the Big Band music, dancing and traveling. He was an avid fan of the University of Iowa "Hawkeyes" football team. His family was very important to him and he loved them dearly. James "Jim" Kenneth Reagen, age 79, of Grinnell, Iowa passed away on Monday; December 31, 2007, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His loving wife: Donna of Marshalltown, Iowa and his son: Steven Baker of California. His two nephews: Michael V. Pearson of Lakewood; Jefferson County, Colorado and Tim Pearson of Denver; Denver County, Colorado. Also his neice: Holly Pearson also of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters: Betty Reagen and Ruth Lucas. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday; January 3, 2008 at the funeral home and there will be a scripture service starting at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will begin at: 10:00 a.m. on Friday; January 4, 2008 at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Grinnell, Iowa with the Reverend William C. Reynolds presiding. Interment will be in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa. Memorial contributions in Jim's name may be directed to the Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
