Matthew Thomas Adkins, a lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL, was born October 5, 1976, and died March 28, 2022.

Matt was a graduate of Woodham High School, and attended Troy State University in Pensacola. He was a licensed real estate agent, worked for the Escambia County Property Appraiser, and later as a moving consultant for Coastal Moving and Storage.

Matt was a member of the Krewe of Andres de Pez for more than twenty years, and one of the first chosen by the founders. He was the first "Siguenza" (a position second to the Admiral). He served on the board, and the De Pez Ball committee for several years and later was honored to be chosen as Admiral. He was always proud of his contributions that made the De Pez Krewe the great organization it is today. This was Matt's Band of Brothers for many years, and they were always there for him.

Matt is survived by his parents, Mike and Jennifer Adkins; his sister, Lindsay Osborn (Chris); nieces, Taylor and Emily Osborn; aunt, Regina Wagner; uncle, Steven Wagner (Lisa), and his grandfather, (Papa) George J. Wagner. He also leaves behind his soulmate, Michelle Sweeney, and her children, Allie and Alex, who shared some of Matt's brightest days.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April, 2, 2022 at Christ Episcopal Church, 18 West Wright St. Pensacola FL, 32501 at 10:00 a.m. with The Rev. Kathryn Gillett officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Bayview Memorial Park at 3351 Scenic Hwy. Pensacola, FL 32503.

"A man's friendships are one of the best measures of his worth."

-Charles Darwin

We will remember his big heart, his hilarious sense of humor, his love of all things Scots-Irish, his love of music and his beautiful voice.
