J.M. Amerson Dies At Tennille Home
J.M. Amerson, 65, died at his home in Tennille last Wednesday after several days illness.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at the Piney Mount Methodist church with the Rev. J.F. McCluney of Milledgeville and the Rev. T.M. Moseley, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Amerson was a native of Washington county, and moved to Tennille several years ago to make his home. He was engaged in farming until his health failed. Mr. Amerson was a member of the Union Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Leoran McCoy of Oconee and Mrs. Vernon Smith of Swainsboro; one son, Hillary Amerson of Tennille; and four grandchildren.
M and M Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
