Mr. Roger Samuel "Sam" Campbell, 72, of Gibsonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Sam was born December 14, 1949 in Alamance County to Roger Lee Campbell and Ruth Williams Campbell. He retired from Firequip of Burlington where he was general manager for over 35 years. A volunteer fireman for Elon Fire Department, he served as Fire Chief in his early years. He was an antique collector and collected multiple antique and classic cars. Sam enjoyed landscaping his yard with a variety of plants and flowers as well as his working in his vegetable garden. He was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lena Bell Williams Fowlkes, and Ollie and Weldon Campbell and his beloved dog, Cabby.

Sam is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Deborah Kay Campbell; daughter, Carla Warren and husband Mike; sister, Rosemary Campbell; and treasured dogs, Lucky and Ellie.

A celebration of Sam's life will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1 PM at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 12:45 PM prior to the service. The interment will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10 AM at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
