Mary Jane Newman (Walter), age 71, of Auburn passed away Monday, February 28th, 2022 surrounded by her husband and daughter . She was born on August 23, 1950 to Adeline (Bauer) and Clarence Walter of Auburn. She married in Auburn on July 31, 1976.
She was a graduate of Central High School in 1968 and received her associates from Delta College. She started working at the Dow Chemical Company in 1968 and held various office professional and computer/software support functions and left in 1991 to spend more time with her daughter, as she entered first grade. Everyone knew Mary for her ability to craft anything and her caring nature. She loved to scrapbook and create crafts for her friends. Mary Jane was known as the basket lady. Everyone knew her for her abounding kindness and endlessly giving nature.Mary and her husband loved to travel to various casinos and country concerts. Mary loved to watch her grandkids and loved her Shih Tzu dogs over the years.
She is predeceased in death by her parents Clarence and Adeline (Bauer) Walter and sister Nancy Robinson (Walter). In-laws Hubert and Eleanor Newman, several aunts and uncles; Gerhart Bauer, Marian Bauer, Howard and Marguerite Bauer, Agnes and Harold Lisius, Elmer and Viola Walter, Arlene and Clarence Stieve.
Graveside services will take place at Zion Cemetery (Beaver Twp.).
