Russell served in the Marines during the Korean war. He married my Mother, Dorothy Louise Suhl Back around 1949. I was born 2 Oct. 1950 and about two years later my baby sister, Sharon Joyce Back was born 23 Jul. 1952. We share a proud Back family heritage that goes all the way to Freudenberg, Siegen-Wittgenstein district/county, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Russell had two brothers, David Alvin Back 1930-2002, Thomas James Back 1934-1988, and two sisters who are still living as of 2 Apr. 2022, Judith Back Mackey born 1940 and Arlene Back Braunwart born 1943.
