This past March 31, 2022, Kenneth W Pierce unexpectedly passed away at a job site where he was working as a carpenter. He was rushed to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH where his death was pronounced. Ken was born January 11, 1951, in Hanover, NH the son of Howard and Doris (Westover) Pierce, grew up in White River Jct., VT

He graduated from Hartford High School, Class of 1970. While working as a cook at the Tally House Restaurant, he met the love of his life, Donna Blanchard. They were married a short time later March 27, 1971, at the Hartland Congregation Church and made their home in North Hartland, VT.

A year later, following the birth of their daughter, Sheri, they moved to White River Jct., VT and have lived there ever since. In 1974 they welcomed the birth of their second child, a son, Jeffrey. Ken began his long and successful career as a carpenter in 1972 working for Jack Williams out of Bradford, VT. When Jack's business closed, he took his skills to Roger Trachier of Hartland, VT. He worked there for several years until Roger retired and started with Jim Mills out of Woodstock, VT. Ken's talents and skills earned him a great reputation throughout the Upper Valley Region. For the past fourteen years he has worked with Brian Gardner.

Ken was an exceptional carpenter, mentor, and an extremely hard worker. When he wasn't on the job with one of his employers, he could be found helping a family member or friend with some kind of building project.

When his son, Jeff, was in Little League, Ken volunteered as a baseball coach. He kept active playing pond hockey with his kids and loved being outside. He was also a phenomenal grandfather, attending all sports and activities when he could.

When free time was available, Ken loved fly fishing. He was very good at it and found great pleasure in catching fish in and around the local area with flies he had tied himself.

On February 10, 2001, Ken and Donna suffered the loss of their son Jeff. They were devastated. Through their grief they joined the local chapter of Compassionate Friends, a support group for parents who have lost children.

Along with his son, Ken was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Janice Robinson.

He is survived by his wife of Fifty- One Years, Donna Pierce of White River Jct., VT, daughter Sheri Tetreault and her husband Joe of Enfield, NH, grandchildren, Hannah Haskins of Enfield, NH, Halie Haskins and her fiancé, Billy Chavanelle of Northfield, NH, Devin Tetreault of Enfield, NH, two sisters, Louise Miller of Florida, Paula Sawyer Sheffield, VT, brother Richard Pierce of Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.
