BLANN, WILLIAM A., 87, of Republic, Mo., formerly of Brooksville, died Sunday (April 7, 2002) at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo. Born in Northville, N.Y., he moved to Missouri this year from Brooksville. He was a retired chemical engineer. He worked in the sugar refining, oxide refining and soy bean processing industries in the United States, Cuba, Europe and Israel. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Hardwick College, Oneonta, N.Y and a master's degree in chemistry from Brooklyn N.Y. Polytechnical Institue. He was a charter member of Fellowship Wesleyan, Church in Spring Hill and was a member of Gideon International since 1949. Survivors include his wife, Alta M.; two daughters, Peggy Pfifer, Las Vegas, and Martha Payton, Republic; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two, great-great-grandchildren.
