Roger Davis was born June 8, 1936 in Carthage, MO; the son of the late Kenneth Davis and his wife Lucille nee' Scott. He passed away Sunday February 27, 2022 at the age of 85. Roger graduated from Webb City High School in 1954. Roger then served his country in the United States Naval Reserve. He was united in marriage to Maryellen Witherspoon August 23, 1957. The couple made their home in Norman, OK where Roger was attending Oklahoma University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1958. The couple moved to Hazelwood and then in 1972 the family settled in Union, MO. Roger was employed by the Federal Government as a cartographer. He retired in the early 1990's. Roger was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Union, in his later life he became an active member of The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge, MO. Roger enjoyed camping, being a 4-H leader, model trains, geocaching, photography and collecting Case Knives. Roger was also a member of NARFE.

He was precede in death by his wife, Maryellen Davis.

He is survived by his children, Wayne Scott Davis and wife Pam of Webster Groves, MO and Sherrill Davis and husband Leonard Sarapas of New Hampshire;
Five grandchildren, Maggie, Katy, Wil, Shannon and Nathan;
Two great-grandchildren, Theodore, and Lucy and one on the way.

Funeral Service was held Thursday March 3, 2022, Burial followed in the Union cemetery.
