David W. Green, 82, of Carlisle passed away on January 17, 2022.

He was born on October 17, 1939 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of the late COL Lynell W. and Bessie L. Green.

David was an "Army Brat." He lived in Fort Benning, Georgia, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the Big Island of Hawaii, Bad Nauheim, Germany, Frankfurt, Germany, and Fort Lewis, Washington.

He was a graduate of Fishburne Military School.

David served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps for three years.

After his military service, he attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration.

David began his career in Corporate Tax working for Aminoil of Houston, Texas, Phillips Petroleum of Houston, Texas, Amerada Hess in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and AHOLD in Carlisle.

He was a vibrant, hilarious, kind, and loving gentleman.

David loved cars and dogs, enjoyed woodworking, enjoyed his men's breakfast group, and was a great handyman - who could fix almost everything.

He was a member of the Foreign Policy Association of Harrisburg and served as its Treasurer for two years.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his grand-daughter: Payton Elizabeth Simmons; and, his brothers: John Waybourne Green and Michael Reed Scott Green.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara "Linkey" Booth Green; his daughters: Jean Ann (Kirby) Simmons, Larissa (Chris) Bonner; his step-daughter: Theresa "Tracy" Wilhelm (Chip) Rossi; his step-son: Mark Wilhelm; his granddaughters: Emily Rossi, Sarah Rossi; his grandsons: Mason Simmons, Collin Bonner, Cade Simmons, Dylan Bonner, Jamie Wilhelm, and Luke Wilhelm; his step-grand daughter: Kirby Nicole Simmons (Mike) Miller; his great-daughters: Copper and Chapel; his great-grandsons: Kyler and Grayson; his sisters: Patricia (Bill) Seely and Susan (Bill) Schubert; his sister-in-law: Stephanie Green; and, his nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 09:30 - 10:30 AM in St. John's Episcopal Church on the Square, 1A N. Hanover Street, Carlisle. A Memorial Service will begin at 10:30 AM.

Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 01:00 PM.
