Steven Eric Bailey – age 64 of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2022, peacefully at home. After a brave and hard-fought battle with cancer, God freed him from this world, and he is now completely healed, whole and happy. Steve was a man of great faith, spirit-filled, and loved the Lord. He deeply loved his family and was a devoted and very loving husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, son-in-law, and friend. He will be deeply missed by those who love him until we see him again. Steve was a strong man with a thoughtful and very kind heart. He was loyal, dependable, hardworking, smart, funny, and fun to be around. He had many talents. Most dear to his heart was the joy he found as a talented landscape artist capturing the beauty of God's creations in his paintings. Steve loved life and all its simple pleasures, trips to his beloved Smokey Mountains and beyond, exploring, walking, hiking, taking photos, picnicking, swimming, fishing, gardening, and playing with his spoiled four-legged friends and fur babies. A big kid at heart, he loved the holidays, especially Christmas and family gatherings with all the decorating, food, anything that sparkled, and his old truck. He loved to laugh and have fun. He made all those special times more fun and memorable for all of us.

Preceded in death and celebrating his homecoming are his parents, Wayne and Lorene Bailey; grandparents, Lawrence and Mollie Bailey, Clarence and Maurine Minton; niece, Rebecca Jenkins; father-in-law, Eugene Williams; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbors, and fur babies.

Survived, loved, and missed by sweetheart of 40 years, soulmate and wife of 37 years, Pamela Bailey; special big brother, Stanley Bailey; younger brother, Bryan (Wendy) Bailey; sweet sister, Yvonne Jenkins; nieces, Heather (Ryan) Lovegrove, and Veronica Hillier; nephews, Daniel (Jennifer) Jenkins, John Jenkins, Adam Bailey, Matthew (Kellie) Bailey; mother-in-law and friend, Shirley Williams; special aunt, Barbara Bryant; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special love and thanks for devoted helper and special blessing to Steve during his illness, brother Bryan; and Aunt Barb for her encouragement and love; and Sharon Largent, cousin, for all the prayers, cards, and calls. Also, special thanks to all who kept Steve in their prayers. It meant more to him than you can ever know.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 1:00 PM on Saturday at Bridges Funeral Home and go in procession to Pollard Cemetery for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Pastor Dexter Jordan officiating.
